The Ohio State University has launched a new website about infectious disease risks in canine group settings. The site includes a comprehensive document on risk and risk reduction strategies (which was just published last month in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association), as well as owner-level fact sheets and a risk calculator to help identify specific risks (and responses) in individual situations. The site is designed to help evaluate, understand and ideally reduce infectious disease risks that are inherent whenever multiple animals (or people) get together. We’ve also posted the links to several of these resources on the Worms & Germs Resources – Pets page.
